Wow..it is magical here in the Yucatan.

Being a teacher of Kundalini Yoga I was excited to come and experience the powerful planetary Kundalini that is so present here.

In Drunvalo's book 'Serpent of Light', I was fascinated to learn that this energy that moves through the chakras in the energy field of the human being, is also circulating our planet. Having moved from India, it is now most potent in Mexico and South America. And here I am!

Driving in I was surprised how flat it is..almost savanna like.

I was expecting mountains and jungles. But they are nowhere to be seen.

The overgrowth is incredible, and you would have to cut your way through it if you wanted to pass, probably with a big machete(Tarzan-like!!).

After a dinner of guacamole, home made corn chips, and quesadillas we dived on to the hammocks in the garden, gazing at the stars..the starriest sky I’ve seen..lounging and chatting and telling the stories of our hearts.

Sharing all we are grateful for..and all we have to look forward to in life.

Simple and truthful moments like these are precious jewels to me.

I notice they happen so easily out of the regular routine, and structure in which we live our lives.

UXMAL

This ruin is about 70 miles inland fom Merida.

Each of the pyramids are built in a specific geographic location in order to represent and channel the energy of the land. The energy of each temple represents a specific chakra in of the human body.

Uxmal is considered the base chakra and the foundation and beginning of a new cycle.

I was not prepared for the magnificence of this place.

There is a high energy here. Walking toward the first pyramid, I felt a vibration in my bones, almost a humming, that got stronger with every step I took.

Very difficult to describe.

I can now understand why people travel here from far away places to experience this transformational energy where healing can occur.

We sat and meditated with our backs against the cool stone, feeling the energy of ancient times.

We spent hours upon hours walking and soaking up the vibes..we were so entranced that it was 4pm before we realized it...ha :) so much for the lunch we thought we were looking forward to.

Our hunger had gone, our spirits awakened and entranced we walked back to the bus for our journey back to our new home, refreshed, grateful, and a little high from the whole experience.
